Policies & FAQ

We want every stay at Thistle Hill Canine to be safe, comfortable, and stress-free. Below are our policies and frequently asked questions to help you prepare for your dog’s visit.

General Policies

What vaccinations are required for boarding & daycare?

  • Required: DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella.

  • Recommended: Canine Influenza (Flu), plus Flea/Tick/Heartworm prevention.

Do you require a temperament test or trial day before a dog can stay?

  • We prefer to do meet and greets to get to know each dog’s temperament. For longer stays, we may recommend a daycare visit or short overnight stay in advance.

Are there any breed or size restrictions?

Do you accept intact (not spayed/neutered) dogs?
